Motor Signal Reading Series: Phreddy Wischusen & Satori Shakor

Wednesday, March 16
7 PM

Open to the public with a $5 suggested donation

The Motor Signal Reading Series jolts poetry and prose reading out of its conventional form. Every event involves an activity of literary co-creation between performer and audience.

Satori Shakoor is a veteran of live entertainment, an artist and a social entrepreneur. In 2011, Ms. Shakoor became a Moth main stage storyteller and host. She currently hosts the Ann Arbor, Michigan Month story slams. In 2012, Ms. Shakoor created The Secret Society of Twisted Storytellers, a curated, monthly live storytelling event  that features real people who tell true stories, live at Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. TSSOTS has a global mission to connect humanity, heal and transform community and to provide an uplifting, thought-provoking, soul- cleansing entertainment experience through the art and craft of storytelling.

Phreddy Wischeusen is a storyteller who is highly critical of his intense desire to totally immerse himself in every sensual experience life affords him. He grew up in a suburb of Atlanta and now lives in Highland Park, Michigan. He loves G-d and all the hard and splendid things that come with that.

Presented in partnership with Literary Detroit and Knight Arts Challenge.
