Go beyond the fundamentals of papermaking and learn about different fibers, colors, additives, and techniques to make your handmade paper even more amazing. For students who have papermaking experience or who have taken Beginning Papermaking with Meg. Meg will introduce new pulps and processes that will both challenge and delight in her SW Detroit studio. Students will have ample time to experiment and create their own sheets.
Instructor: Meg Heeres (www.meganheeres.com) is a Detroit based artist and a graduate of the Cranbrook Academy of Art whose interactive installations and sculptures, as well as handmade paper works and collages can be found at Re:View Contemporary Gallery in Midtown and at various venues throughout the state.
