Tuesday, July 12 [10–12PM] Ages 7-17

In this workshop, students will explore the basic tools and principles of letterpress printing by creating a small edition of illustrated, narrative broadsides inspired by pictographs and rebus puzzles. We will collectively choose one group of cuts and carvings from the Signal-Return collection, then individually use the proofing presses to make three prints of this foundation for our image-driven stories.  Additional text will be individually added by hand.  Copies of our broadsides will be collectively displayed here at the press at the end of the summer.
