SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JULY 22—23 [10-4 PM] $200
This workshop will be an introduction to the technique of reduction woodblock printing. In reduction printing, a multi-color print is created using only one block by cutting away more and more of the block in-between each color run. Students will be guided through the process, from preliminary drawing to finished print while learning about cutting tools, carving sequence and color mixing. Each student will carve and edition their own print.
**Cost includes ink, paper, wood, but participants must purchase their own carving tools. Nancy recommends Shinwa Power Grip Carving Tools, Seven Piece Set**
