Linoleum carving is a common method used by printers to create illustrations and other shape-based elements in their print projects. This workshop explores the materials and techniques needed to create a hand-carved image that is printable on a letterpress. Students should come to class with an idea or example of the imagry they will carve on a 6”x9” block of linoleum. They will learn to properly lockup, register, and print their block on proof presses. All materials included.
