SATURDAY, May 4 [10–4 PM] • $125 All Materials Included
In this workshop, you will create an oversized, 2 color print using experimental relief printing and vintage wood type. Liz will share her method of cutting stencils by hand to print a mid-century inspired background layer, so each participant will have a chance to customize their design. Each student will have access to the Signal Return collection of wood type, as well as Liz’s personal collection of 27 line type and custom built furniture and chase. We will explore hand printing techniques with a brayer and a baren. You will take home a set of 3 prints, measuring 26 x 40, created with unique touches that push the boundaries of traditional letterpress printing.
