About Homespun & Green

Homespun & Green est 2025 by J Nelson describes their DIY creative processes which formed in the confines of a tiny NYC apartment during lockdown. The purpose focuses on the cultivation of expressions through art that allows communities to deepen relationships within ourselves, those around us, and Earth. Primarily using recycled/Upcycled materials by the means of donation or free materials is how H&G is able participate in a community that connects with art making. Homespun means the playful creative reworking of materials sourced locally while Green acknowledges the drive to these creative expressions in alignment with nature. In a world increasingly oversimplified with instant gratification at the forefront, Homespun & Green invites you to take perspective in slowing down to engage with the world around you in a way that is socially and environmentally mindful.
