Signal-Return is moving to a wonderful new home and we need your help!

Dear Friends of Signal-Return,

For 12 years, our homebase in Eastern Market has been alive with activities: presses running, artists creating, workshops full of enthusiastic participants, school groups visiting, poetry readings, and more. Thank you for supporting us every step of the way.

Now we face a transformative new chapter and an exciting challenge ahead. Beginning in May 2023, Signal-Return will move to Detroit’s East Side to become one of the anchor tenants of the Lantern, a former bakery building soon to be repurposed as an arts center. Our new home will be three blocks from Pewabic Pottery and around the corner from Sister Pie. Signal-Return will play a key role in reactivating a block along Kercheval in a new arts district.

In order to get there, we are calling upon you, our friends and supporters, to raise $100,000 between now and May 31st! Your support is vital to ensure that Signal-Return continues to be a community hub while expanding the scope and impact of our mission to new neighborhoods.

With your help, we will occupy a larger footprint to match our growing array of programs and initiatives, from more dedicated areas for public workshops and production printing and a larger retail space, to a dedicated gallery area showcasing printmakers from across our community and the nation.

This move warrants Signal-Return’s most ambitious fundraising campaign to date. Our team is confident that we will reach our goal because of our belief in you, our community of champions. Your commitment brings us one step closer to welcoming printers, artists, writers, community organizations, residents, tourists, and art lovers from all backgrounds through our new doors next year.

A DONATION OF ANY AMOUNT sets the path towards our collective success.
No gift is too small.

Our future is in your hands, and 2023 is right around the corner!
