Make your Winter holidays extra special with your own custom letterpress drink coasters!
Learn to design with vintage movable lead type & take home a set of 20 handmade drink coasters. Come with a short phrase in mind (8 words / 60 letters or less) & peruse our collection of typefaces and ornaments for inspiration.
Students will learn letterpress basics like composing with movable type, locking up designs in a chase, and mixing ink by hand. Each person will print their own design on one of our tabletop platen presses.
Cost of workshop includes materials, instruction by S-R staff and takeaway prints. Paper in this workshop is from French Paper Company, a small Michigan Paper Mill around for more than 140 years.
