








Paper Making Workshop / Summer Signal

Join us for a FREE Paper Making Workshop during our final 2025 Summer Signal community event instructed by Detroit artisit J Nelson.
This paper making workshop will introduce participants to the traditional craft of creating paper by hand. We will review preparing the pulp, using a mold and deckle to form sheets, pressing, drying, and exploring other techniques, with an emphasis on specific aspects like using recycled materials or natural fibers. Each participant will have oppurtunity to make up to about 10 sheets of custom made 8x10 paper.
This workshop is free of cost and is first come first served. Sign up and register your place here and meet us in the studio the day of the Summer Signal event on August 9th.
