Recipe Cards Letterpress Workshop
Instructed by Laura Beyer (Hearty Greetings)
Saturday, June 7th, 10am-4pm
Class Size: Maximum 8
Design your own recipe card set in this one-day workshop. Students will learn typesetting techniques to print a set of twenty 4.25” x 5.5,” A2 size, single sided, custom letterpress cards.
Whether it’s a classic design with your family name or a clever phrase, students will be able to customize their recipe cards with their personal touch. Participants will design their cards with our movable lead type, learn how to lock up a chase, and print their own design on our tabletop platen presses.
Come prepared with an idea for your recipe card header. Think short and sweet, keep text within 4 words or less or about 20 letters. Enjoy learning something new or refining your letterpress skills to create something special to record your favorite dishes in the kitchen.
Cost of workshop includes instruction, materials and paper from French Paper Company, a small Michigan Paper Mill around for more than 140 years.
