Intro to Linoleum Carving with PALOMA NÚÑEZ-REGUEIRO
This beginners linocut printmaking workshop is intended for people with little to no previous experience in printmaking. This workshop will cover in depth explanation about image transfer, printmaking papers, carving tools, registration, inking, and printing. This workshop offers the hands-on experience needed in order to create an edition of 5 - 10 small prints.
Students should come to class with an idea or example of the imagery they will carve on a 8”x 5” linoleum block. They will learn to properly lock-up, register, and print their block on our printing presses.
Linoleum carving is a common method used by printers to create illustrations and other shape-based elements in their print projects.
Cost of workshop includes materials, instruction by S-R staff and takeaway prints. Paper in this workshop is from French Paper Company, a small Michigan Paper Mill around for more than 140 years.

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY
If you are unable to attend, you must notify Signal-Return up to 24 hours in advanced in order to receive a workshop credit.
Your workshop fee will become a credit that you can use towards a different workshop in the future.

Workshop credits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to merchandise purchases.
MINIMUM OF WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS
We require a minimum of 4 participants registered in each workshop in order for the workshop to run. If you have signed up for a workshop and less than 4 participants are registered, we will notify you at least 24 hours before the workshop date, that the workshop will not run.
Your workshop fee will be refunded to you. Hopefully you can sign up for another workshop inn the future. We apologize for any inconvenience.
