In this workshop, students will explore the basic tools and principles of letterpress printing by individually creating a small edition of cards made for sharing their greetings and gratitude with others. Using Signal-Return's proofing presses, we will be able to print from the original blocks we create in the first half of the workshop. Participants may bring a simple design to reproduce (no larger than 3" x 5") but all are welcome to collaborate with the instructor on their design, during the session.

BIO: Ronica Dhar is a writer, educator and letterpress lover who enjoys promoting literacy and well being.  She holds an MFA in Fiction from the University of Michigan, taught English for over fifteen years in the kindergarten through college community, and works part-time in the shop at Signal-Return.
