Lyrical Letterpress - Poster Printing with Ben Blount

  • Signal-Return 9301 Kercheval Avenue Detroit, MI, 48214 United States (map)

My ideal Saturday is an afternoon spent in the letterpress studio—printing while jamming to my favorite tunes. In this workshop, we’ll do just that. You’ll learn the basics of letterpress printing in order to create posters inspired by lyrics from your favorite songs. Music conveys so many complex emotions and ideas. We’ll take that creative energy and put it to use on the press, bringing lyrics to life on paper with a lively playlist bouncing in the background.

Cost of workshop includes materials, instruction by S-R staff and takeaway prints. Paper in this workshop is from French Paper Company, a small Michigan Paper Mill around for more than 140 years.

Saturday, February 17, 10am-4pm

Price: $150

Class Size: Maximum 8
